QUOTES
Fresno State Head Coach Margie Wright on winning the first game...
"I think it is an awesome way to start off the tournament. I think our team played a great game. Robin (Mackin) pitched a great game. Christina (Clark) made some great plays as well as Haley (Perkins). And both Haley and Christina had some clutch hits. I am just really proud of how the team performed today."

Fresno State Head Coach Margie Wright on rebounded from loss at WAC Tournament...
"We didn't say anything different. You use the things that you didn't do well in the WAC Tournament, and you turn it around. Everybody this week was extremely focused on coming to Regionals and doing what we needed to do. We did a good job of team hitting tonight, and Shannon (Garvin) moving the runner and scoring the first run. They showed up and wanted to make a difference today."

Fresno State Pitcher Robin Mackin her pitching performance ...
"I was just doing what I needed to do to help my team win. I knew team was behind me. If that is the way we are going to win, then that is how we are going to do it."

Cal State Fullerton Head Michelle Gromacki on trouble scoring tonight
"I think Marissa Marzan kept us in that ball game. I thought we pushed; we had baserunners. But you can't keep hitting balls sky high in the air that should be for sure outs, and they were today. We didn't capitalize on any opportunites when we had baserunners on, and Fresno did."

Cal State Fullerton Head Michelle Gromacki on pitcher Marissa Marzan
"I thought she did a good job. At this level, there are good hitters, and there is good defense, and there is good pitching. We definitely had good pitching today. We gave up a couple hits when it was key for them, but we have to score to win anyway."

Cal State Fullerton pitcher Marissa Marzan on pitching performance ...
"I came out and gave what I had. I felt even after the seventh inning I had given my all. I'll continue do it throughout the rest of the tournament. It is not the end. We definitely try to capitalize, especially when we get runners on. Hopefully we learn from this experience and produce a lot of runs tomorrow."
